Ventilation plugs are membrane devices that allow the passage of air, gases, and vapor while being impermeable or nearly impermeable to water, liquids, and dust. The degree of liquid permeability depends on the pore size and structure of the membrane.
Applications
Prevent pressure buildup inside an enclosure without risk of liquid penetration
Avoid accidental suction of liquids when the enclosure’s internal temperature decreases
Allow air circulation for ventilation
Improve maintenance conditions by preventing pressure-related issues inside hot enclosures
These plugs are available in IP67-rated metallic and non-metallic versions, with an acrylic co-polymer membrane mounted on a plastic support. Different degrees of permeability are offered: Standard, Medium, High, and Ultra-High. Higher permeability results in lower pressure thresholds for liquid intrusion. Models include standard and high-permeability plastic and stainless steel options.
For Ultra-High permeability models or models not listed, consult us.
